SPR
Surface Ranging Tool
Provides proximity data without the use of a surface coil. As a stand-alone light-weight system, one person can place the SPR – (Single Point Ranging) at any position near the wellbore path to receive data. Using our onboard survey system, the tool defines its position and orientation at each deployment. There is no need for third party survey verification.

Is the BHA compatible with HDD Rigs?
Yes. NMDC and components are made to be easily picked up on HDD rigs with shorter make up lengths.
Is it full directional only?
No. Hazen is happy to sell or rent kits and provide training and support for our technologies.
How many people do you need to run project?
Today we are using 2 people per shift to deliver a full directional service.
Hazen is working towards a remote (ROC) style service soon which will reduce to 1 person per shift.
How do you compare to other wireless systems?
Hazen’s combination of technologies means no surface loop is required, and positional information is available at the bit which means data at the casing shoe.
Intersecting bores or other targets is faster and more accurate.
Our unique algorithms and sound processes also provide a more accurate positional surveys. Added services like survey management / corrections
further improve the accuracy.
How do you compare to Gyro services?
Hazen’s collaboration with Sharewell provides access to wireless gyro tools. Additionally, the combination of directional technology and process result in an accuracy and distance and intersect capability only reserved
for Gyro services previously but without the wire.
Do you do walkover or small Drills?
Yes.

Built by users with industry feedback Bedrock™ offers multiple features that allow the user to easily navigate and interact with the program and data.
Bedrock™ is developed specifically for direct measurement applications like HDD guidance shots and Ranging where discrete measurements are used to plot the position underground.
As a web application it as accessible on any device with a browser and does not require downloading of software or a dedicated device.
Built with the project cycle in mind Bedrock™ allows you to easily import or create bore paths, surface topography and offsets then track and report in real-time with 3D Visualization.

MAGNETIC BIT SUB – At Bit Measurement
• A short non-mag collar, with machined pockets and
permanent magnets installed
• The Mag Sub is added to drilling assembly between the
bit and mud motor, or anywhere on the BHA
• New Patented design improves Magnetic density and
superior magnetic mass per unit volume
• Shorter length keeps Bit-to-Bend small for better
directional response.
• At bit measurements and Reduced length
• When the Magnet Sub is rotated, a sinusoidal alternating
magnetic field is generated (AC).
